Templates, not advice
Our invoice templates, examples and articles are general business documents provided "as is". They are not legal, tax or accounting advice. You are responsible for the content of your invoices, for charging the correct sales tax or VAT, and for meeting the invoicing rules that apply to your business and location.
Licence to use templates
You may download, edit and use the templates to bill your own clients, for personal or commercial purposes, as often as you like. You may not resell, redistribute or publish the templates themselves (for example on another template site) without written permission.
Free tool
The invoice maker is free. Files are generated in your browser; we don't store them. We may change or discontinue free features at any time. Free invoices include a small "Made with Excel Invoice Maker" line.
Invoice Pro subscriptions
- Invoice Pro costs $7.99/mo or $59/yr (prices in USD; taxes may apply).
- New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. Cancel before it ends and you won't be charged.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- Pay now links connect to your own payment-processor account. Their terms and fees apply to those payments.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to create fraudulent or misleading invoices, to impersonate another business, or to break any law.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for errors in invoices you create. Always review an invoice before sending it. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.
